The latest violence came a day after a suicide bombing in a coffee-shop in the northern town of Tuz Khurmatu killed 28 people.

This is only 2 day's worth of news, yesterday and today, till noon.

I wonder (too lazy to do) what's the casualty counts for all these activities. The figures must be astonishing. One wonder the natural disaster's mighty power, and the power of explosives in war.

One can imagine the fear and terror of the ordinary citizens of the affected countries, their pain and sorrow at the loss of their loved ones, their property, etc etc... but what i admire about them is that they can pick themselve up, raising from the fall, and carry on lives normally.

We, singaporeans, are living in a safe enviroment. Safe from the natural disaster, safe from war. Lets not take our safety for granted. Lets not take our lives for granted, lets not take Singapore for granted. Remember that there are a lot more less fortunate ppl around you, in and around Singapore.

Of course, unless you sway sway kena hit by a falling pot or falling window or even bird shit as you walk underneath a block of flats, or you sway sway deframe the wrong fellow, or you sway sway kena parking summons.
