SINGAPORE: A sabotage attempt marred the Aviva Ironman Singapore triathlon on Sunday.

While the cycling leg of the race was going on, some metal tacks were scattered on the road near the Keppel Flyover.

One witness told Channel NewsAsia about 30 to 40 participants had their bike tyres punctured by the tacks and had to drop out of the triathlon as a result.

In response to media queries, event organiser Hi-Tri said it cleared up the metal tacks immediately after being told of the incident.

It said few competitors were affected as the incident occurred near the end of the bike race.

Race director Graeme Hannan said it was a deliberate sabotage attempt and it was a shame that such mischief-makers have marred an otherwise great race.

Will they be termed as "terrorist" in the sports world??

All i know is that those mischief makers prob got their inspiration from this...

Away for ICT

To all:

This blog will be inactive for at least a week or at most 2 weeks, coz the blogger is away to protect your ass.

Okie... that was blunt. I will be away for 2 weeks In Camp Training. Meanwhile, if you are still not tired of reading my old post, you are welcomed to surf them and tire yourself out.

And 2 weeks later, provided i am still alive, if still ain't any post, that means i am too tired or too pissed off or too brain dead to write any post.

But it wun be long... Not as long as another lighting strikes the merlion anyway.

So, wish me luck, and cross your fingers that i come back in one piece.

Ciao!!!

Oh yah... almost forgot to pack the most important thing of all... TOILET PAPER!!!

Merlion struck by lighting

Chinese have this saying...

"You don't respect, scold or beat your parents, you will get strike by lighting."

I am wondering what had happened between the merlion and his/her parent? Wait... do you know the merlion's parent?? you don't??

Think.. Any other place in Singapore that has a bigger statue of Merlion than the one at the Merlion park? The one that can stare at you, beam at you with green lasers?

Yes.. the HUGE Merlion at Sentosa...

Dunno what i am talking about??

SINGAPORE: In a rare incident, Singapore's longstanding icon, the original Merlion statue at the mouth of the Singapore River has been struck by lightning.

One witness told MediaCorp Radio's 938LIVE that orange sparks flew when lightning struck between 4 and 5pm at Merlion Park.

Staff in the vicinity said they heard an explosion followed by a loud thud when broken pieces fell to the ground.

About 30 people dashed into a nearby restaurant for safety.

Other onlookers continued to take photos of the 36-year-old tourism icon.

STRUCK BY LIGHTING!! OMG!!

That is the hotspot for tourist, and local people!! And people could be easily be injuried... Thank god, there's no news of injury.

So, since this incident, this has given us some answers about some queries.

1) We now know that Merlion is a conductor of electricity.

2) We now know why Merlion keeps on vomitting.

3) We now know why Merlion is so pale.

4) We now know why Merlion is so popular...

So, here's what might had happened to the Merlion at that time, if you got the angles correct...
