Its been a "funny" sort of friday, and today, sat.
Worked half day on friday, went back home to take my medication, and a nap.
Woke up, bath, and off i went to RJC. (Wow!!!, RJC leh!!!)
I was summoned by the holy one, (my zone commissioner, Mr DT lah), together with QZ to assist him in teaching some basic first aid, CPR and bandaging to some RJC students who will be going on a "mission" to India for their CIP hours.
What mission? I am not sure, but i do know our mission. To ensure that they know what to do when their comrades suffered a cut, that they got enough supplies to last their "mission", know how to give correct treatments to minor ailments etc etc.
Indeed, its a crash course. Seen a first aid lession plus CPR and bandaging practical lessons all cramp up into a 2 hour time slot? We did not teach the full first aid stuff. Just those we considered the most important for them to carry out their mission and to help their comrades-in-arms when the need arise.
Its quite fun teaching those RJC students. Especially when the gore pictures are displayed. Pictures of amputated fingers, fractures will evoke some "Eeeek" from them, while QZ and me will be grinning away, like a cat who had just devoured a saucer full of cream.
Well, i hope that their mission will be a fullfilling one, with the ability to assist their comrades, or the Indian community when the need arise.
Good luck, RJC students!
