Shopping is good for the elderly. So, youngsters out there, it's no excuse for you to stretch out your hands to your father, mother, sister, brother, boyfriend or even girl friend for some extra bonus for retail therapy.

SINGAPORE: A study conducted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) has found that shopping can stave off dementia for those aged 55 years and above. In fact, shopping is even better than other activities such as sports or mahjong.

So, youngsters, before you start groaning about it, you can try bringing your daddy, mummy, grand daddy, grand mummy, or even your in laws out for some retail therapy, to prevent dementia.
And do not give me the crap about "Preventation starts at a young age." in this case.
