Air pollution?

This piece of news is interesting...

Taiwan's stinky toufu shop owner fined for air pollution
By Channel NewsAsia's Taiwan correspondent Andrew Lee Posted: 12 October 2007 0000 hrs

(The tofu made and sold by one vendor in Hsin Chuang City has drawn brickbats. Neighbours complained that his version of the tofu was so stinky that it amounted to air pollution.

"The stink level of this shop is 30, way above the permitted level of 10," said an agency officer. "Therefore, we're imposing a fine on the shopowner for polluting the air." )

Wow... stinky toufu, so stinky that it's air pollution... But what's wrong with that? I mean... Stinky toufu are supposed to be stinky, right? The more stinky the toufu, the better the taste, right?

So the next time you are in Taiwan, why not make a trip down to Hsin Chuang City to smell the air. Remember to bring along gas mask if you cannot take the stinky smells, as demostrated by many Singaporeans here, who has not even the slightest tolerant of slight "unnatural" smell.

Hell, Singaporeans can be the world's first at detecting dead organisms, by nose. Singaporean would also be the world's leading citizen to detect something funny, especially fish.

(SINGAPORE: A foul smell was detected at Pandan Reservoir by a MediaCorp News Hotline caller on Monday morning.

Residents said more than 10 dead fish were found floating in the reservoir, some of which had already decomposed.)

Imagine some Singaporean telling you this....

"I smell a fish... No. Wait... (sniffs the air again)... hmmm... it's more than a fish. It's multiple dead fishes and some are decomposing."

Imagine that MediaCorp News Hotline Caller went to Taiwan Hsin Chuang City.

He would have collasped, having spams and foaming at the mouth.
