And now, due to the seriousness of the problems (prob they cannot stand the heat anymore), some people, some where, will make use of the special numbers 07/07/07 to organise a 24-hour concert, across 7 continents, named "Live Earth".
It was organised to drive home the message of global warming and how could it kill the whole planet.
When i learn of this sometime back, my first reaction was: "such a big scale concert har? For what siah? Sure got better way to save this planet."
And apprently, some bands do share the same views as me.
Arctic Monkeys shiver at Live Earth 'hypocrisy'
Quoted from the website: "Especially when we're using enough power for 10 houses just for (stage) lighting. It'd be a bit hypocritical, And we're always jetting off on aeroplanes!"
Others have the same view:
Roger Daltrey, singer from 1970s British rock band The Who, told British newspaper The Sun in May that "the last thing the planet needs is a rock concert."
Anyway, just sit back and enjoy the concert, and think about global warming. (Mediacorp channel 5 is going to broadcast the Live Earth).
