SINGAPORE: Ten types of hot/cold packs sold in Singapore have been voluntarily recalled by their companies as the packs contain a toxic substance.
Laboratory tests revealed these packs contain the anti-freeze ingredient ethylene glycol, instead of the non-toxic substance propylene glycol.
The 10 affected packs are marketed under three brands - SURGIPACK, Soft R&R and OSIM

Take not pls... If you are not using it, please do not let your kids, or your dog even matter to chew on it... Okie??

Differences in Thailand and Singapore
Do you know what's really the difference between Thailand and Singapore??
Besides the "sa-wa-di-ka" and "Kua Simi" greetings between strangers...
Oh.. Come on... make a guess... It's that obvious especially recently... It's straight in your face...
Still dunno??
Well, i can't blame you.. It was all along right in front of my face, and it's only now then i realise it...
When placing unhappiness,
Thailand : "I want to protest!!!"
Singapore : "I want to complain!!!"...

I went racing
I went racing today...
A race that would have place Massa and Hamilton to shame... Sure no fight one...
Shiok feeling...

Okie, okie... stop cursing and swearing at me!!! I admit, i am bored, sian, lame, nothing else better to do... But please stop scolding me, okie??
I am sorry for causing so much disturbances in your reading of my blog... But i am just simply too bored and need to de-stress myself a bit... Been hearing all the bad news on the news... Must understand me a bit lah... Been kinda down recently, need something bo liao to bring some fun, joy, laugher and colour back in my life...
Otherwise, i would be jumping down from the basement window...
Also, noticed that my blog is kinda "dead" from too many depressing(?) posts without photos, boring you readers out there... And perhaps, adding some more depression into your depressive life...
But hey, i used it to "sa corner" hor... dun pray pray...

Shit.. i am going to sneeze non stop later...

Finanical Crisis
The finanical crisis had hit me... Hard...
Smack straight in my face, my body, went through the heart, where it twisted to cause more damage.
Irrepairable damage.
Shit... All those hard earned savings are leaving me... Going to leave me forever... I can never get them back. My dreams?? *poof... they are gone.
I am a poor broke bloke...
Stupid letter i had recived that had almost cause me to have a heart attack. Cannot believe the figures in the letter... Now have to look for alternatives liao... Cannot always go to delifrance to have my bread.. Now, i need to go to the bakery downstairs to have my bread.
Haiz~~ what finanical crisis... I wondering where all the money went to, since everyone is losing money...
Damm... i can never under the finanical market.

F1 race in Japan
Hmmm.. what has the Singtel Formula 1 Singapore Night Race done to me??
I am a F1 fan, but ever since the F1 came to Singapore, been take notice of the news related to the race... I begin to know who's who. Which team is which.
And it's coz of F1 that let me got to know who's the clown... Which team's most entertaining...
And right now, after the race in Japan, after Singapore's night race, Alonso wins again!!! Cheers to the Renault Team!! But the sad thing is that Hamilton did not pick up a point from another incident packed race...
Motor Racing: Stunned Alonso wins, Hamilton pointless in Japan

But it's because of some incidents that led me to respect Hamilton.
"Championship leader Hamilton failed to score a point for McLaren after a poor start from pole position and some impetuous moves which cost him dearly.
These saw him overrun the first corner and go off the track together with Raikkonen, who outpaced him off the grid at the start, and later hit by Massa's Ferrari as he attempted to pass him.
Hamilton was given a drive-through penalty for his part in the first corner melee and Massa was given the same punishment for ramming Hamilton into a spin in the second incident.
Hamilton eventually finished 12th.
"I didn't hit anything, but he did," said Hamilton of the incidents. "But that's the way it goes." "
Wow... you failed, you admit. Accept the punishments and learn from it...
You don't go around blaming everything else except the obvious mistake and calling everything else names. Unlike the clown.
Lewis Hamilton, you have my salute!!! You have 2 more races to go, and i will give you my fullest moral support!! Go for it!!
The clown, you have my ass.
I am now waiting for the clown to see what names he's going to give for the Japan circuit and for the disaster race by his team.

Burning smell
I am suffocating with fumes...
Fumes from burning wax...
Nope.. it's not a post mid autumn celebrations, whereby ppl used a great deal of candles. Nope, there's no birthday celebrations today, especially with 100 year old folks, where's there's 100 candles on the birthday cake...
And nope, there's no kinky stuffs going on... Dun think so much, okie??
Some one is burning wax in the next lab. For what?? i dunno... Who know's there's kinky stuff going on next door...
So, for today, i have to work with the smell of wax fumes. I shall come out with a burning smell...

Another weekend passed
==============================================
Small talk:
There's a new post in http://sjabzone3.blogspot.com/
It's about the OTC POC 2008 photos. Do go there and have a look!!
==============================================
Another tiring weekend... Not as tiring as the F1 weekend, though...
Sat. Finally can sleep late late... Woke up by a number of phone calls... Lazing around at home, doing some work, bua tahaning, till i gave a call to GL, and went to HQ early.
Evening. OTC POC 2008... Finally the OTC Trainees becoming officers.

The zone 3 family... Congrads to all the OTCs who have went through the long long course and now becoming officers.
And i did put them in a spot when i greeted them "Sirs and Madams".
HAHA...
It's fun...
Sunday early morning... NS HOME TEAM REAL RUN, Trial run. As what DC or R puts it, it's the fake real run...
Nothing much.. Only one incident, where someone on the bicycle did an E brake, front wheelie, and crash.

Nothing much.. slept the whole of sunday...

Complains by the ferrari team president
OMG!!! what's the world coming to??
I mean, nowadays, winners boast of their wins, and losers whine about their losses, and start to put the blame of their loss on something or someone else...
==============================================
Motor racing-Ferrari head says F1 humiliated by Singapore race
http://sg.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080930/tsp-motor-racing-ferrari-montezemolo-81ea673.html
MILAN, Sept 30 - Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has poured scorn on Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix, saying the "circus" track and the use of the safety car had been humiliating for Formula One.
Formula One's first night race drew rave reviews from participants and onlookers, including the sport's delighted supremo Bernie Ecclestone, but was one to forget for the Italian team.
Brazilian title contender Felipe Massa had his race ruined by a bungled pit stop while faltering world champion Kimi Raikkonen crashed near the end.
"When we race on tracks which should be used for the circus, anything can happen including the spectacle of the Safety Car," Montezemolo was quoted as saying in Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
"All this is humiliating for F1 and it is an aspect I want to talk about with the other teams in the next few weeks."
Singapore saw two safety car interventions, the first of which turned the race upside down and contributed to Spaniard Fernando Alonso's unexpected victory for Renault.
================================================
Oh come on... Ferrari... Losers only whine about their losses, putting the blame on everything else but the faults on your team.
Is this the way of the Ferrari spirit? The one that calls others "circus"? Maybe, i can refer you as the clown, going off with the fuel hose still intact and crashing in the "circus".
I remember DT saying these words. When you lose, don't blame anything else but the skills. It's obvious that the skills are not a match, especially on your own pit stop crew, the blunder which you refused to put the blame on your loss in, and instead, you blame the Singapore track.
It's as if the other teams are not using the same track as yours. It's not as if the other drivers are not facing the same turnings, difficulties as you. If your drivers and team thinks the track is not good, then, you are not good.
This shows that you cannot accept new challenges.
And you whine about the track when you loss, to me, this shows that you are a sore loser.
And when one of your drivers crash, and the other drove off with the fuel hose still inside, to me, this shows that your teams and drivers are not skilled enough.
No wonder you lose. (Shake head)
And prob serves you right.
And i am starting to lose my respect in the clown team.
But then, what's a circus without clowns? It goes hand in hand. A circus without clowns would not be a circus. Meanwhile, a clown without a circus will still be a clown.
I mean, nowadays, winners boast of their wins, and losers whine about their losses, and start to put the blame of their loss on something or someone else...

I'm back!!!
Been quite some time since i last update, but i am really busy, not to mentioned tired...
Hmm... where do i start?? Thursday?
Thursday. Went to NSSC. Met the JDO, and no orh gong for me.. Thank god...
Went to HQ after that, helped to wash the ambulances, top up fuel, and doing other stuffs, ending up not sleeping. This lead to having a tension headache on friday night.
Nothing much on Friday night, just that the roaring of the F1 cars non-stop was a bit irritating to me.
Sat night. Did one evacuation, which i won by a simple scissors, paper and stone game with R. The whole evacuation was timed, and it took only 6 minutes plus to reach the hospital. Me and H were a bit bonkers, especially when we were going back to gate 6.
And i brought along my ear muffler, and using that, i did managed to sleep, but i was awoke by the silence after the track practice was over.
Sunday. R did an evacuation. He refused to have the scissors paper stone game with me.
Here are the photos.
Friday hot afternoon.
Track safety cars doing their rounds.
3 of other ambulance drivers under the hot sun...
4 of us with the Sector Marshal. He's a very friendly chap who's from Australia.
Track Marshal.
And soon, the race started. BMW race.

Auston Martin race.

Porsche Race. There's one Porsche with the Singapore Flag.

And for the F1 race at night, well, they were travelling too fast for my camera.
This is the only shot that i like...

Hmmm...
And as the event ended on sunday, TS commented. "3 months to prepare, over in 3 days".
Man, am i grateful that the event has ended!!!

F1 week
Another weekend passed.
Now is the Formula 1 race week. Gearing up. Making final preparations. Buying stuffs.
Took quite a lot of photos for the preparation, but sorry to say, i cannot post on my blog. Those pictures are to be used for something else. Have been "appointed" unoffically as a photographer for our own magazine usage.
Will post at a later stage if i can remember.
Sooooo busy...
Wondering when will see the light at the end of the dark corridor...
Soon, i guess...

Everyone's talking about it
Have you ever notice, that in these few days, weeks, months, you keep seeing, hearing, feeling one thing?
And nope, i am not talking about the finanical crisis.
And nope, i am not talking about the china milk melamine scare either...
It's something international... It's something about speed...
If you still dunno what i am talking about, i would suggest you go find a solid piece of wall, nope, i am not telling you to bang your head against it, but go find a wall to bang into you. Or, you can enter a circular room and relax in one corner.
Yes. I am talking about F1.
Formula 1, not the F1 (help) key you find on your computer keyboards, you computer freaks.
Formula 1 racing.
RACING...
I can see it everywhere... I read it in the news and papers. I heard about it on the radio, TV, and the public. I saw F1 articles on magazines. I can see HUGE posters along one of the highways. I see the F1 cars on display at petrol stations.
I can even hear it at night, when some speedsters wanna drive their WRX STI, or Type R or EVO or even motorbikes, as they try to imitate Lewis driving the F1 cars. I can also see the F1 cars sold in most shops, from toys to collectables, F1 stuffs, to stickers.
Hell, i even know a friend who dreams about the F1 thingy while sleeping!!!
WTH???
I went to suntec, spotted a "event", and some kids playing some cars. It only took me a split second to recongise it as the Singapore F1 track.
I have been staring too much of the F1 track too much.
This whole thing is getting tiring.
4 more days to F1.
I just hope it can pass ASAP without any incident, hopefully to the disappointment of the tickets holder.

failed without tasting
Imagine this....
During your secondary school days. You are supposed to sit for a composition test. You wrote out the composition, submit to your teacher for grading.
And your teacher never glance at your composition and gave you a fail grade.
What's your feelings on this??
Something similiar happened to one of my friends... He cooked soup, brought to his instructors, and the "testers" never taste his soup and gave him a fail grade...
What the heck?
Reason is that one is very health conscious, and the other don't dare to taste the soup.
What the bloody heck? Hey, you are cooking instructors, and you don't want to taste coz you scared you put on weight, and scare to taste the soup...
It's macham like asking a tramua nurse who's afraid of seeing blood to treat a RTA case.
Sometimes, innovations, think out of the box, being creative does not pay.

How can they add a poison chemical use in a industry of plastic resin and glue to food?? Melamine... Remember this word...
I can almost imagine this scenario... This might be what could have happened that caused this incident:
==============================================
Inside China office:
R&D to Production : Hey, to increase the value added of our milk powder, we can add some extra ingredients into our milk powder... Can increase the selling price also... We have done an extensive Research on it, and it's not toxic at all!! In fact, it feels better!! Good idea hor??
Production : Really har?? Add what in har??
R&D : Melanin... It's good for the skin, it serves predominantly as a pigment. The class of pigments are derivatives of the amino acid tyrosine.....
Production : Cut the technical crap. You mentioned Melanin, right?? okie, i going to get the purchasing to purchase immediately... And then get QC to test the new product.
Production to Purchasing : I want to you purchase Melanin ASAP for a new product launch... Got it??
Purchasing : 是的.
Purchasing on phone : 你好, 我想买 Melanin...
Ang Mor on the other side : You want Melamine??
Purchasing : 是的. Melanin.
Shortly after the manufacturing process......
QC : ZZZzzzZZZzzzZZZzzz
==============================================
Could it been happing like this??
As what Aaron says (吃死人) got 3 meanings...
1) Eat (poison) till die...
2) Eat dead people....
3) (When you talking about it, not words) Eat shit person...
Is this world still safe or not??

Finanical crisis
Financial crisis...
USA sub-prime crisis...
USA govermant bailout of 2 banks.
Giant investment bank, Lehman bank collaspe.
Shares prices freefall.
Truthfully, i am shock. A huge investment bank just collasped overnight, it's too sudden. This is getting worse than i had imagine and expected. Will we get to see a repeat of the great depression of the 1930s?
Next, another giant insurance company, AIG is on the brink. AIG shares dropped 60 - 70%.
Insurance companies allow you to buy insurance on almost anything. But the insurance policies itself have any insurance against such crisis?
Do we have to buy another insurance as an insurance for our insurance??
This is getting complicated.
Insurance companies always have this saying. "Have a peace of mind", but when this shit happens, who can have a peace of mind?
Well, i hope that this crisis will go over soon, and frankly speaking, i don't envy AIA, AIG, or even AHA staff...

Mid autumn weekend
Weekend came and about to go off...
Kinda busy... Friday work, and meetings.
Sat. We became "spacemen"...

Nope.. that is not the spacemen i am talking about.
Is this one...

Only the head covered... That was the PPE fitting thingy for us.
Looks a bit like the movie, armageddon...

Only thing is that the movie director would not accept a big asshole like me in his movie...
And next was the mass briefing of the upcoming project, and i was so restless that i started snapping photos from what i was seated...

And i fell asleep...

After the briefing, we (EC, GL, DT, VKP and me) went for a delicious dinner at Maggi Thai. Having the same food...
And later in the night... BP WLNY gathering to celebrate the mid autumn festival. Been ages since so much ppl came...
We were there to take photos...

To eat mooncakes...

And to look at the moon... 3 moons somemore!!

Well, it's been a very interesting night, and it's been quite sometime since i really can relax and enjoy myself...
Should have more of these outings.. haha
