Nothing much... Slacking on last weekend... When i say slacking, i really mean slacking... Catching up on my sleep, going out with my friends, washing my car, waxing my car, supper, watching TV, listening to songs, listening to songs while sleeping and listening to songs while sleeping and having a nightmare at the same time...
Yes.. it did happen... I was sleeping, when i heard a song that actually induces a "nightmare"... Not those scary types of nightmares, but others, which i ain't going into detail. You can ask, but that does not mean i will answer...
What song? I ain't going to reveal... Hahah... but seriously, i like that song. Kinda matches with my mood... haha

I've changed...
From this
To this...

Because this,
Matches me!!!
Got the meaning??
Go on... pronounce it... ESSO... Now, say this... ASSHOLE... S.O... Ain't it the same??

Fun shopping
==============================================
Short talk:
CRAB POT!!!
Gotten a parking summons earlier!!! Super red hot chilli CRAB POT!!!
==============================================
Shopping can be fun...
Nope.. i mean, just shopping is not really fun... But shopping with a group of kakis, especially with those fun ones, can be really fun...
Shopping with GL, at Plaza Sing...
Back itchy?? no one to help?? never mind... got the super duper back scatcher...
Shopping with VN and his kids...
Pity the machine... gonna break down sooner or later.. haha
And this was what was noticed yesterday at Mustafa when we (AF square, ZX and me)went for whole night shopping...
It's true that they did not obstruct........ the wordings...
And ZX and me spotted this car power adaptor...
What does that remind you of?? I mean, it looks similar to something that is being displayed by lots ppl lots time...
Well, it certainly looks like this... Kids, do not do this anywhere, anytime... Especially in front of your parents, teachers, seniors, relatives and especially in front of bengs... You have been warned...
Errr... for your information, that's not my hand... hahaha
I would not be surprised if we were banned from Mustafa in the short term for causing all the havoc and certainly, i wouldn't be surprised at all if the staff from Mustafa knew us by our name, after all the paging for each other with out voices loudly...
And i would not be surprised either for the Taxis to curse and swear at me for snatching away their "unoffical destinated taxi pick-up area" by parking my car in the offical car parking lot, and causing traffic delays by a taxi blocking my way inconsiderately to pick up customers, while i wait for that cab to move out from that parking lot, and to covert that "unoffical destinated taxi pick up area" to a "offical car parking lot".
Congrads to JB who just got his first car!! A "Beng" car. Any car more "Beng" than my car is a "Beng" car...
And i am thinking of raising my standards of "Beng" car. Wait and see!!! Woo Woo!!

Suay day
What a suay day...
Sprained my left leg while going out of my house earlier... Initially, it's ain't so bad, but after a night of idle at the carpark, walking around Mustafa, the pain worsen and cannot walk normally...
Hopefully, there's no police, SOC, SAF, ISD, Interpol, CIA swamping around my house area, knocking on my door and inviting me for breakfast.

Battery died on me
My phone battery went into shock...
It was okie yesterday night. All the battery's vital signs was normal, and it was a bit hungry. So i started feeding it (charge) and this morning, it went into cardiac arrest.
I tried all kinds of things that i can think of, but to no avail. The battery has collasped and went into shock. I could not recharge it. It's now hooked up to wires, trying to substain it's life till i can get a replacement.
And i need to stay in office, coz there's an important delivery for me later in the afternoon!!!
Damm it...

Traffic Jam and conversations
Imagine you are rushing to work early in the morning, and struck in a jam...
You are feeling frustrated, pissed off, and you are about to be late for work, when you realised that the jam was due to some road works during the morning peak hour...
And when you come across this sign...
If that happens to me, i dunno if i should be lauging out or pissed off more...
But right now, it certainly brings a smile to my face... haha
Oh yah... by the way, it's not in Singapore. Someone E mailed this picture to me...
================================================
Just now had a conversation with SK..
SK: haiz
SK: later stuck at those talks... how to make my escape"!?
S.O: the event what time end?
S.O: just say you going to toilet and escape loh... just like mas selamat
Perfect excuse to escape... via the toilet!!!

FAHNC 2008
Zone annual First Aid and Home Nursing Competition (FAHNC) is over...
To those teams that won, Congrads to you!!
To those teams that did not, well, i am sure you had tried your best. Do not be too unhappy, and remember what went wrong, learn from it, and pass it on.
Every year, i dreaded being present at the scene of the competition results announcement. Everyone would be crying. Be it from joy or from anguish or even pissed off with something. And sometimes, it got so bad that i almost thought the whole place would flood with tears, and i can go swimming...
It's even worst when you know the team members from different teams, especially those you had worked with, joked with, and being trained by you...Worst of all, when one won, while the other did not.
When you are in that situation, how would you react? Go to the winning team and congraduate them, and laugh with them, then go to the other team, console them and cry with them?
I dunno about others, but i am unable to be happy one minute and be sad the next.
So, i chose to withdraw. I will not go to either team... Anyway, it's their victory, or anguish, and i am not part of the team. Normally, i will quickly leave the venue immediately after the event is over.
Or in today's case, leave even before the announcement of results. I got one perfect reason to do it. I am not feeling well.
Been coughing the whole day, and especially with those violent coughs that can cough out your lung, i would feel giddy, and as the days progress it got worse. So, i figured that i rather leave early and go home early rather than become a real casualty for all the comp teams to treat.
Am happy for the teams that won, but in another way, am sorry for the other teams that want victory badly and yet unable to get it...

12 hours at PS
Had a long, tiring, hot but still fun 12 hour duty in the city, Plaza Singapura on Sat.
It's a climbing event organised by NUS.
It's tiring coz the hours are long. And i managed to conned a number of ppl down to join us (vkp, GL and me).
Beginning was EG.
And followed by GK, who happened to be at PS to do some shopping with his family. Been a super long time since i met GK...
And we are still the same since we met each other during our poly days... still as playful...
Soon, KY and EC came...
Followed by YS
lastly, followed by Q... We had a very strong group of ppl for that duty. From child to aged, we covered it all!!
The team of nurses and nurses-to-be...
And of course,
the group from SJ...
Since the hours are long, it must be boring. And what did i do when it's boring??
Play PSP...
Acting Cute while playing PSP...
Take pictures of others acting cute...
Shopping, wating the kids watching some super hero... We (GL and me) could not recognise that super hero... Who is he??
Anyone recognise him??
And at the end, GL decided that he would try his hand on rock climbing..
Vertically, not horizontally as we wanted to do in the first place...

Pointing fingers
Super interesting stuffs spotted...
Was surfing the Channel Newsasia website, the Asia Pacific and the World news, when the pictures struck me as similar...
On the Asia Pacific page, http://www.channelnewsasia.com/asiapacific/index.htm on 20th March 2008, at 1345 hours, showed this picture...
The Dalai Lama
And on the world page, http://www.channelnewsasia.com/world/index.htm at the same date and time, shows this picture...
See any similar posture??
How come such public well-known, be it famous or notorious, like to point their fingers up in the air??
Are they trying to tell us a message??
"Nope, it's not me, i got the message from upstairs one..."
Thankfully it's their fore fingers, and not their middle fingers... haha

Audits
oh man!!! I hate audits and sorry to say, auditors...
Macham i will run off with my raw materials... Macham i make coffee, run out of sugar and use dextrose instead, macham i will get hungry while working and eat the materials instead...
Auditors wanna audit everything... I mean EVERYTHING... so ma huan... Got to do this, do that, do everything, check this, check that, check everything... Have been very busily working non stop for the whole goddammed morning, and with a headache somemore...
I used to not worry about audits, coz in the old company, someone in the head office will deal with him/her... but now, since the company changed, i am suddenly doing it, for the first time, without any help, without any knowledge of what full audit is at all...
Damm... and i am trying the whole goddamm morning trying to figure out what the auditor wants, and she is trying to let me know what she wants the whole morning...
People learn from experience, but this is certainly an bad experience for me to deal with the auditor. I know nothing about company auditing at all!! And she keeps asking me about the money, whereby it's not my responsiblities at all!!!
.... Having headache now....

New internet connection
It's never been a smooth start for something new.. And some how, i was expecting all the tiny weeny little bugs that is bound to show up sooner or later, that would disrupt my life in cyberspace...
And now, i am encountering it.
And i got the technical helpline number handy. But too bad, i cannot do anything to the wait.
And it's during the wait, this is what i heard...
"Say goodbye to any internet connection problems forever!! Get your fast and reliable help at www.singnet.com.sg/smartfix..."
... speechless... if i got an internet connection problem, which means to say that i cannot connect to the internet, i could not go to smartfix online, rite??
Speechless....

=============================================
Yes... today's the day!!!
After i did Operations Room Cleanup, am ready to put my new piece of super high technology equipment, installed it and commissioned it.
And i am more entertained at home liao... haha..
Just like the rays of the sun poked throught the clouds to cast a ray of light to mark the end of my internet-less life at home...
Can't wait to set my eyes on that high tech gadget that would make every one blush with envy!!! (Okie, okie, i am an ITI, so, to me, it's super high tech...)
Catch me online, folks!!!

Ops Room Cleanup
Commenced Operations Room Cleanup on sunday...
My room has been in a mess, that is rated M18 (violence). Anyone less than 18 when entered will have an idea of what it is like in the real war zone, and will lead to violent character disorders, shock or even mass Traumatic psychology disorders, not to mention post Traumatic depression syndrome.
And this not only affect humans.. It affects things as well. And i got a new desktop coming in tomorrow, i don't want my desk top to be sitting and sleeping on the floor, suffering from psychology agony, and end up breaking down or up, either ways.
So, i commenced Operations Room Cleanup.
First, i sent my scout / intelligence teams. I need to find a decent place to deploy my coming desk top. My scout teams reported that one of the tables with the TV and the DVD player would be the best deployment ground for my desk top, as all the entertainment stuffs will be together to prevent me from having a neck ache from all the rapid neck movement from my monitor to my TV for rapid observation.
I concurred with my scouts and intelligent teams.
And next, i sent in my commandos to raid the enemy's ground, to cause confusions to the enemy's operations and to secure the deployment ground for my PC.
Next, the Arty comes in. Their mission... to blast all rubbish from around the battle zone into a big trash bag to be disposed of later.
And comes the guards and the infantry to secure the costly won battlezone. Engineers followed to sweep up and to repair all damages.
And now, almost the whole room, save for a small corner, was victorious in my hands. I am ready for the new arrival of a important piece of entertainment system, the PC, even my 5.1 speaker system was restored and running, including my disco lights!!
I cannot wait to see the arrival of new PC!!

Just a thought
==============================================
Short talk:
Am doing a massive housekeeping on the links to other ppl's blogs. Those not in use, restricted and never update will be cleared.
==============================================
oh shit.. what is happening to me today?
From this morning, till now, i am suffering from time illusion. My eyes always are an hour ahead of the actual time. I went to canteen for lunch to find the canteen crowded with people having their tea break.
I thought all my colleagues were late, only to realise that they are actually on time.
I thought its time for afternoon tea break, only to find the canteen deserted.
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME??
Everything i do seems to be so wrong... I turn left, and it seems wrong... I turn right and it's seems wrong too.. I go straight, and i crashed into the wall... Maybe i need to back track and go back to the past where troubles seems so far away...
Maybe i need a reboot. Restart my brain timing. But how? Too much things on my mind now... I really wish i can forget everything, and live happily in the past before the problems cropped up. Maybe is i think too much. Maybe things are so simple that i tend to think complicated. Maybe the problem lies with me myself. But i did see something happening.
Maybe i should just heck care the whole damm world and isolate myself. Leave me alone for this period, and leave me to my own problems. How long, i dunno.

Pondering issues
I know it's only a matter of time before i start this topic...
And others who know me well, should be waiting for this topic to appear on my blog...
Yes, the great escape of the terrorist JI leader, Mas Selamat. I do wonder why is his name is selamat when he only plan to brings terror and fear to us?
Hunt for JI fugitive Mas Selamat continues
By Satish Cheney, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 10 March 2008 1723 hrs
It's been 13 days, and yet he is still on the loose... I mean, how big is Singapore? There's a lot of ppl says you cannot hide in Singapore, due to the size. Apperantly, this fellow managed to hide from us for 13 days and still counting!!
"And the police maintained that they believe he is still in Singapore as there is no evidence to show he has managed to leave the country.
They also said there is no evidence that his escape was a result of help from others, although they are not ruling out the possibility. "
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/334011/1/.html
That's so incredible to believe that he is still in Singapore, and that his escape was a sole effort, and he is not receiving any help from others...
I mean, if he is still in Singapore, hiding, without outside help, how the hell is he going to find food, water and shelter? Is there any game for him to hunt? Even our JCC trained soldiers bitch about food, water and shelter after 3 days. What about 13 days?
Does he go up to a food stall to get free food? More likely he got chase by the stall owner with a chopper for eating without paying.
Does he got someone to bring him food? Likely... And if that's the case, who's the someone? Friends? Family members? or another Mr Terrorist?
Is there Collateral Damage?
This shows if you are a wanted man, you can still hide in Singapore. FOr 13 days and still counting.
And a word of warning for you all. If you are a guy, and you sprain your left leg, you better dun go out on the streets, lest you got mistaken for Mr Terrorist, especially you walk with a limp, coz of the simple sprain. You might just have the police, the STAR, SOC, SOF, Commandos, Team Delta, ISD, CID, Infantry, Guards, Gurhkas, TP, US Marshal, FBI, CIA, SWAT, Interpol, and the pesky reporters swamping all over you, piling on you. God bless you then.

More bad day
Haix~~~ it never rains, but it pours...
How true that saying is. Another incident had happened, that caused me to scold, really scold my colleague.
First time i really scold my colleague. For doing the wrong thing, and forget to do something, and worst, did the wrong thing, do jia liat and without telling me.
I have to ask to get the truth from him, and ended up scolding him...
How come some ppl never learn their lesson?
Been smoking a lot since i had been unhappy... Now, am wondering what i will die of first... Lung Cancer, heart attack, stroke or burst blood vessel?
And how soon...

Bad day
Oh yes... yesterday was a very bad day where everything seems to go wrong... And even the skies does not seem to sympathise me, but played a cruel prank on me instead...
Was not in a good mood throughout the whole day, due to what i had seen, heard and guess. Been thinking of it the whole day, and in the whole day, i was either too quiet or too ki siao.
And when i drove, yes, i kept to the speed limit, but i played the turnings and the corners at a high speed, just short of drifting.
Was really bad...
And been in a bad mood for the day, and never eat for the whole day, all i want was to sit down and have a good dinner in peace.
I couldn't be more wrong...
First, there's no parking space at Liang Seah Street due to the IT fair. So, maggie thai place is out.
Second, decided to go to thomson road to eat the "zi cha". Alas!!! it was closed.
Finally, went over to East Coast food center to wack their famous Wanton mee and their satay beehoon.
Wait and wait. Wait for parking lot, wait for a table and queue up waiting to order food... And i was damm hungry!
Finally got the food. (i was with DT). Sat down and start to enjoy. AND IT STARTED RAINING!!! GODDAMM IT!!! CHILLI BLACK PEPPER CRABPOT!!!
Why can't i even have a dinner in peace, when i had been pissing off the whole day, eaten nothing for the whole day? Is the skies playing a cruel joke on me? Why can't they (the skies) just leave me alone during my meals? dammit.
Seen 2 idiots sitting in the raining, eating in the rain? Yup.. that's DT and me. I refused to take shelter till i finish all my food. I refused to give in to the rain.
And partly, my "crow" mouth is to be blamed, when i told DT that i prefer tables in shelter rather that in the open, in case it rain. Perhaps now, i should tell DT that i prefer to buy lottery, in case i strike the lottery.
And now, i am waiting for the diahoerra to start, with all the additional stuffs in my plate of mee.
Yes, the wanton mee and the satay beehoon still taste shiok, especially when you topped it up with BBQ chicken wings.

YH birthday
Happy birthday to YH!!
Had a BBQ party at Labrador Park...
I nice view to the southern islands... The lights seems to be flickering, and according to HP, it looks like gold, but to me, it looks more like a super big distant christmas tree...
Even the lights reflecting on the calm seas looks nice... So is one of the ships anchored in the seas...
Okie... enough crap of the surrondings and the enviroment...
Here's the birthday cake and the birthday girl...
And here's the birthday girl got saboed...
By cream only... that's very light of them...
Anyway, was quite in a bad mood towards the end of that party, and yes, it was an over night party BBQ. Together with the men of 30 SCE personnal patrolling the park just because of that stupid idiot who walks with a limp.

Useful methods of teaching
Read this in one of the Instructor's handbook. I find it interesting, useful and worthwhile for you to remember...
Learners remember 10% of what is read, 20% of what is heard, 30% of what is seen, 50% of what is heard and seen but 80% of what is heard, seen and done
So, when teaching, you must let your trainees read the notes, tell them about it, demostrate it and ask them to do it... this way, they will remember 90% of the thing.
What about the last 10%?
Is they think about it and ask questions.

Have you ever been doing something, so often, that you got used to it totally, and suddenly, you switch roles to become the other side of something?
Confusing?? well, let me put it in another way...
Imagine a police officer, keeps arresting criminals and putting them behind bars. Does that police officer wonders what the feeling is like when he himselfs got arrested and place behind bars instead? what's the other view about??
You go to the zoo. you look at the animals behind the cages. Wondered before how is the other view of you in the cage, watching humans passing you and looking at you??
I went for the BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Course yesterday, conducted by the Singapore General Hospital. It's nothing new. I had went through the course in 2002, which is like 6 years ago. And i had went on to the instructor course, breezed through my attachments, and had become an instructor in BCLS.
And so i went to teach CPR, examiner for CPR courses, Judge for CPR in first aid competitions... So on and so forth...
And yesterday, i went back to become a trainee all over again. No. My licence was not suspended. Just that i went to get a more recognised certification to get an instructor certification from another hospital to become an instructor for our organisation that had just been accrediated by the National Resuscitation Council, Singapore.
And indeed, it was interesting. Being a trainee again. I forgot the feelings of being a trainee in the CPR program.
It was an eye opener to me. I see the world from the other side. I was actually accessing our instructors more than listening to what they are teaching. I knew the better from the good, how they talk, how they instruct and how they impart.
I saw myself on several occasions, in terms of speech and demostration, and i felt that it's not good, and i had not realised before when i was playing the role of the instructor. Made a note to discard it.
And i absorb the ideas that i can use, for my future classes.
I passed the BCLS course, way ahead of time, and learned lots new things.
Now, i am looking forward for the upcoming BCLS Instructor course.
And yes, what DT and EC mentioned was very true. Doctors always got targetted to do practice first. Anyway, my instructor is a staff nurse.
