Interesting article...

1) Kenya
A national holiday was declared in Kenya -- where Obama's father was born -- to welcome the first black US president.

(Why Singapore does not have such a National Holiday?? Those who are migrating to the US, encourage your kids to run for president. Who knows, we might have a holiday too!!)

2) France
French President in a letter to the newly elected President :
"Your brilliant victory rewards a tireless commitment to serve the American people. It also crowns an exceptional campaign whose inspiration and exaltation have proved to the entire world the vitality of American democracy. By choosing you, the American people have chosen change, openness and optimism"

Cheem... Did you understand that??

5) Japan

6) Mexico
Mexican President congratulated Obama on his "triumph" and invited him to visit the United States' southern neighbour.

Wow... Invitations started coming in on that day itself... Can i invite the US President over to my house for a cup of Ice milo??

7) Australia
Australian Prime Minister said Obama's victory was a landmark for equality.
"Twenty-five years ago Martin Luther King had a dream of an America where men and women would be judged not on the colour of their skin but on the content of their character,Today what America has done is turn that dream into a reality."

Wah... How i wish that would happen in Singapore, especially at Senrangoon Gardens area...

10) Palestinian

Reading all these stuffs led me to wonder and ponder over one thing...

What would happen if John McCain had won?? How would the world's response be??

Okie... I really need to go to sleep liao, and perhaps start dreaming of what would be the response if i could become a president also...
