Temasek Regatta / Week 0 Orientation

Friday morning, while people are rushing to work and school on a wet wet morning, we (vkp and me) were on our way to do something else...


All the way from the west to the east to see this...


Dragonboats!!

Yep.. It's the TP regatta, and the week 0 orientation, and we were there to KPO a bit...


Dragonboat is like footdrill. Teamwork is important. Look at the picture above... Rowing together in unison will have a better effect than those disorganised teams...

So not surprising, boat no 3 won the race...

And their supporters cheered them on non-stop!!



And while during a lull, i spotted something weird...



It's a competition of 2 boats of 2 rowers... one of them even went without a drummer!!!

Wow...


Interesting... haha

And the "telematch" at TP freshman orientation, under a very hot sun, was quite interesting to watch, from a distance...


The freshman... Welcome to poly life....


Seeing this makes me wonder how does one feels to be in the freshman orientation camp... i have never been in one, having skipped all the programs when i was a freshman... And thank god for it...

And there's one segment that i wish i can go right in front of the stadium to have a closer look... and that's this...
