My nephew turns one

This post is dedicated to my nephew, who just turned 1.

And we had a small party at my house, inviting all my relatives, and my brother's in laws.

And since it's during the CNY period, it's the time for the season of giving and taking. For me, it's takings only... Takings of ang pows from my relatives.

And since this post is dedicated to my nephew, the picture will mostly have his pictures...

The birthday boy!!!

Guess his name?? Dunno?? Just look at the next photo...

The birthday cake... Can see his name liao??

His name is Jun Yi... Sounds familiar?? Now, pronounce it the other way round.. Got a shock??

Me and the birthday boy... am trying to get him to look at the camera...

Finally, he's looking at the camera...

My sister and the birthday boy...

My niece and my nephew... brother and sister...

My brother's family...

With his in laws...

My family...

And the birthday song, finally, the cake cutting...

And the sister helped to blow out the candle...

The disfigured Mickey Mouse...

And i kept taking photos of the VIP that day...

Started crying when my dad carry him.. he wants to walk about...

And when my dad puts him down on the floor...

He started smilings and run around the house...

Just look at him!!!

And playing on the bed!!!

What a little cute fellow!!!

CNY third day

CNY "holidays" over... And its time to go back to work..

Mondays... Mondays... It's monday again... Feeling bluey. Wanted to rest longer in bed, but it's monday... Haiz~~ Am sick... Suffering from Monday blues depression syndrome.

Past few days been either too slack, or went visitings and being visited. Nothing more...

First 2 days of the new year has been really darn boring. Went out rounding on the first night, wash my car on the second night.

Third day. Went a couple of houses, from SJ, with the SJ peeps.

Firstly, stopped by Uncle Tiu's house.

The ever friendly Uncle Tiu...

It was peaceful at uncle Tiu's, chatting, watching TV, as seen in the scene below...

with someone really watching TV closely...

Ahhh... What a peaceful life... Enjoying...

Till Mr and Mrs TS came...

Once they come, the whole scene became like this...

Wanna see more clearly??

HUAT AH!!!

And while others crowded around the tables, the others did this...

Haha...

Next went to YR's house, where they have another round of gathering around the table, while me just sit there and stare at the TV...

Thanks to Uncle Tiu for providing lunch, roast duck, chicken curry and delicious bee hoon for lunch, and to YR's dad for buying us satay for dinner!!

Need to find out where those satays came from.. The mutton satays are simply too fantestic!!!

Then, it's back home and slack after 2 failed attempts to visit other ppl to extort more ang pows from them... I did not really went home... Went to my ex-neighbour house to visit him, but did not extort any ang pows... he has been giving me too many freebies to make me too pai seh to extort from him liao.

And then, it's home to rest and relax...

A piece of sad news hit me today...

It's sad, especially it's still during the festive season...

By Hasnita A Majid, Channel NewsAsia Posted: 08 February 2008 1828 hrs

Haiz~~~... Who in Singapore does not know Ah Meng?? She's really one of the most well-known celebrity in Singapore, not to mention that a lot of foreigners know her too!!

She was sent to the zoo in 1971, and when she died, she was 48.

We are all gonna miss her...

CNY first day

Chinese New Year Day 1.

Have you ever been so bored and so "suay" as me? On the very first day of CNY somemore...

Slept till the afternoon. Woke up, with the empty feeling and an empty stomach, but just too lazy to go down and buy food.

Whole day doing nothing, but watching TV, reading books, listening to the radio, taking naps now and then, till my stomach started to turn violent being too empty, then went down to the coffeeshop and "tabao" the food home to eat.

All these happened till night, when i was feeling extra bored, went down to my car, and took her out for a spin.

Went to woodlands seaside, around midnight time, hoping to see some fireworks at the Malaysia side. Been there for less than 10 minutes, seeing nothing, when ZX called that he's free. Disappointed not to see any distant fireworks.

Went back to BP to look for him, and together, we went out to look for another friend, AS at Jurong west.

Had a great feast there. Ate lots things. Had stingray, zu zu, satay, bee hoon, "wu siang", "hao jian". Ended up with a stomachache. Haha...

Ant called. Me and ZX headed back to BP to meet Ant, and ended up inside Ant's car to go for another round of rounding. Went to East Coast, Via KPE (my first time in KPE). Wanted to play pool, but the pool at East Coast was opened to members only. And they closed at 6am... It's 5am when we reach there.

Feeling hungry again, we went down to the Mac donald below, only to realised that their system is down, and we cannot order any food. Ant was commenting..."Wah liao... got so suay mah? Upstairs cannot, downstairs also cannot..." Even the toilet at EC Mac was closed.

So, we went all the way to King Albert park Mac, for our breakfast.

Stayed there all the way till 6.30am, eating breakfast, reading papers, talking cock.

That's how i spend my first day of the Chinese New Year...

CNY 2008 Countdown duty

Happy CNY to all!!

Few days before the duty, me and ZX went to give Mr E a shock...

See his "a bit shocked" face? we hid at the lift landing and waited for him to fall into our trap, and me with my camera ready...

48 hours later, me was at Chinatown for the countdown duty. Was quite fun there.

With the same group of ppl,

And 2 pretty ladies...

But the 2 ladies turned on me!!

And the most disturbing thing is the vest, which reflect lots light!! Everytime i took photos of someone in the vest, my comments was "wah liao.. your vest la!!"

And the 2 ladies dunno doing what...

putting on make up for each other?? hahaha

And when the clock strike 12... the streets turned bright...

With the fireworks...

And yet more beautiful fireworks...

And yet again, more fireworks...

And not to forget, the firecrackers, which make a racket of noise, and billows of smoke...

Hands down... no contest... better than the thunderflashs and smoke grenades we used in the SAF.

Perhaps, SAF can consider using firecrackers instead of thunderflash and smoke grenades in training... Someone can use this in the wits suggestion forms and earn some money out of it...

And once the countdown is over, people started clearing the streets. Damm fast and damm effective.

And i took the chance for more pictures...

From Chinatown to inside the ambulance...

ES and HL

Me and SY

Me and KS...

Surprisingly, the duty ended quite early... but to my disappointment, there's no Duty Siaos reunion at the prata house this year.

Went home, and fell asleep...

Thanks to appy for the 2 characters!! the "Fu" and this!!

Road taxes down, ERPs up

Dunno is good or bad news...

LTA announces the reduction in Road Tax by 15%. That means to say, we will be paying less for our vehicles road taxes...

But, here's the catch...

The rise in Electronic Road Pricing and increase in the number of ERP gantries.

That means we will be paying more for the usage of the cars rather than owning a car, as declared by the goverment...

But another piece of news...

The government announced on Wednesday that it will curb vehicle population growth, from 3 percent to 1.5 percent from next May.

That means COE prices for new cars will go straight up. COEs will costs more, while road taxes goes down. Even an idiot like me will know that it will cost more to buy a car, and cost more to use it.

In other words, guess who's the winner?

Hi everyone, i am back!!

Got miss my new posts?

Haha... Unfortunately, i survived the in camp. But whatever suay can happen to me did happen to me... Mr Murphy had once again proven that he's still around me... And his business is "law". I shall talk some of it in my next post...

But first, let me talk about my other things... things that i had done before my in camp.

Did 2 exciting duties. One is a concert at Indoor stadium. Guess who?

Yep, it's Jay Chou.

The lights are nice, but to all the ppl there, their focus are not on the lights.. it's their idol... So much so that 2 men had a big quarrel with the security people coz the ppl in front are standing, and it blocked their and their gf's view...

And they ended up standing on the chair, and got into another quarrel with the security ppl.

TO me... Come on lah... that's life. Just admit that you are short just like me lah.

And the next day, i went for another duty...

===============================================

Chinatown light up.

Got a couple of cases, all caused by the same problem.

And it was really enjoyable... with
1)

The duty siaos...

2)

The pretty cheerleading ladies team...

3)

The fire crackers...

4)

The fireworks...

5)

And more fireworks...

6)
