It’s your turn at the Singapore Grand Prix
If you have a great name to immortalise turns 1, 7, or 10, email your suggestions to gpturns@mediacorp.com.sg from now until February 28, explaining to the judging panel your choice in no more than 50 words.
Three winners will each receive a three-day 2009 Formula One SingTel Singapore Grand Prix pass for the grandstand closest to the turn they have named, as well as a pitlane tour.
The best overall contributor will also get a two-night star in a five-star trackside hotel.
Names must have strong local flavour and be no longer than three words – that includes the words “Turn” or “Corner” – and cannot incorporate commercial names.
The contest in opened to all individuals, regardless of nationality or country of residence, except for employees (and immediate family members) of Singapore GP, TODAY, authorised agencies and principle sponsors associated with the Singapore Grand Prix. - TODAY/yb

F1 race in Japan
Hmmm.. what has the Singtel Formula 1 Singapore Night Race done to me??
I am a F1 fan, but ever since the F1 came to Singapore, been take notice of the news related to the race... I begin to know who's who. Which team is which.
And it's coz of F1 that let me got to know who's the clown... Which team's most entertaining...
And right now, after the race in Japan, after Singapore's night race, Alonso wins again!!! Cheers to the Renault Team!! But the sad thing is that Hamilton did not pick up a point from another incident packed race...

But it's because of some incidents that led me to respect Hamilton.
"Championship leader Hamilton failed to score a point for McLaren after a poor start from pole position and some impetuous moves which cost him dearly.
These saw him overrun the first corner and go off the track together with Raikkonen, who outpaced him off the grid at the start, and later hit by Massa's Ferrari as he attempted to pass him.
Hamilton was given a drive-through penalty for his part in the first corner melee and Massa was given the same punishment for ramming Hamilton into a spin in the second incident.
Hamilton eventually finished 12th.
"I didn't hit anything, but he did," said Hamilton of the incidents. "But that's the way it goes." "
Wow... you failed, you admit. Accept the punishments and learn from it...
You don't go around blaming everything else except the obvious mistake and calling everything else names. Unlike the clown.
Lewis Hamilton, you have my salute!!! You have 2 more races to go, and i will give you my fullest moral support!! Go for it!!
The clown, you have my ass.
I am now waiting for the clown to see what names he's going to give for the Japan circuit and for the disaster race by his team.

Missing everything
I miss everything...
I miss one fullerton... I miss gate 6... I miss starbucks... I miss the air con toilet... I miss the AETOS officers... I miss the brunch of TPs... I miss the sound of F1 cars... I miss waking up when the race stopped, coz it's too quiet... I miss the meetings where tempers almost flew... I miss the drivers training... I miss giving out water to everyone... I miss talking crap with the other volunteers and part timers selling the programs for 20 bucks there... I miss sleeping at 5 am in the morning and waking up at 10 am... I miss eating a meat patty and 2 slice of bread... I miss driving in the track... I miss the scissors paper stone... I miss telling ppl that they cannot enter without a ticket... I miss having my arm stamped all over when i go out everytime...
I miss everything...
And yet, thank god, it's over...

Brazilian title contender Felipe Massa had his race ruined by a bungled pit stop while faltering world champion Kimi Raikkonen crashed near the end.
"When we race on tracks which should be used for the circus, anything can happen including the spectacle of the Safety Car," Montezemolo was quoted as saying in Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.
"All this is humiliating for F1 and it is an aspect I want to talk about with the other teams in the next few weeks."
Singapore saw two safety car interventions, the first of which turned the race upside down and contributed to Spaniard Fernando Alonso's unexpected victory for Renault.

Oh come on... Ferrari... Losers only whine about their losses, putting the blame on everything else but the faults on your team.
Is this the way of the Ferrari spirit? The one that calls others "circus"? Maybe, i can refer you as the clown, going off with the fuel hose still intact and crashing in the "circus".
I remember DT saying these words. When you lose, don't blame anything else but the skills. It's obvious that the skills are not a match, especially on your own pit stop crew, the blunder which you refused to put the blame on your loss in, and instead, you blame the Singapore track.
It's as if the other teams are not using the same track as yours. It's not as if the other drivers are not facing the same turnings, difficulties as you. If your drivers and team thinks the track is not good, then, you are not good.
This shows that you cannot accept new challenges.
And you whine about the track when you loss, to me, this shows that you are a sore loser.
And when one of your drivers crash, and the other drove off with the fuel hose still inside, to me, this shows that your teams and drivers are not skilled enough.
No wonder you lose. (Shake head)
And prob serves you right.
And i am starting to lose my respect in the clown team.
But then, what's a circus without clowns? It goes hand in hand. A circus without clowns would not be a circus. Meanwhile, a clown without a circus will still be a clown.

I'm back!!!
Been quite some time since i last update, but i am really busy, not to mentioned tired...
Hmm... where do i start?? Thursday?
Thursday. Went to NSSC. Met the JDO, and no orh gong for me.. Thank god...
Went to HQ after that, helped to wash the ambulances, top up fuel, and doing other stuffs, ending up not sleeping. This lead to having a tension headache on friday night.
Nothing much on Friday night, just that the roaring of the F1 cars non-stop was a bit irritating to me.
Sat night. Did one evacuation, which i won by a simple scissors, paper and stone game with R. The whole evacuation was timed, and it took only 6 minutes plus to reach the hospital. Me and H were a bit bonkers, especially when we were going back to gate 6.
And i brought along my ear muffler, and using that, i did managed to sleep, but i was awoke by the silence after the track practice was over.
Sunday. R did an evacuation. He refused to have the scissors paper stone game with me.

And as the event ended on sunday, TS commented. "3 months to prepare, over in 3 days".
Man, am i grateful that the event has ended!!!

F1 week
Another weekend passed.
Now is the Formula 1 race week. Gearing up. Making final preparations. Buying stuffs.
Took quite a lot of photos for the preparation, but sorry to say, i cannot post on my blog. Those pictures are to be used for something else. Have been "appointed" unoffically as a photographer for our own magazine usage.
Will post at a later stage if i can remember.
Sooooo busy...

Soon, i guess...

Everyone's talking about it
Have you ever notice, that in these few days, weeks, months, you keep seeing, hearing, feeling one thing?
And nope, i am not talking about the finanical crisis.
And nope, i am not talking about the china milk melamine scare either...
It's something international... It's something about speed...
If you still dunno what i am talking about, i would suggest you go find a solid piece of wall, nope, i am not telling you to bang your head against it, but go find a wall to bang into you. Or, you can enter a circular room and relax in one corner.
Yes. I am talking about F1.
Formula 1, not the F1 (help) key you find on your computer keyboards, you computer freaks.
Formula 1 racing.
RACING...
I can see it everywhere... I read it in the news and papers. I heard about it on the radio, TV, and the public. I saw F1 articles on magazines. I can see HUGE posters along one of the highways. I see the F1 cars on display at petrol stations.
I can even hear it at night, when some speedsters wanna drive their WRX STI, or Type R or EVO or even motorbikes, as they try to imitate Lewis driving the F1 cars. I can also see the F1 cars sold in most shops, from toys to collectables, F1 stuffs, to stickers.
Hell, i even know a friend who dreams about the F1 thingy while sleeping!!!
WTH???
I went to suntec, spotted a "event", and some kids playing some cars. It only took me a split second to recongise it as the Singapore F1 track.
I have been staring too much of the F1 track too much.
This whole thing is getting tiring.
4 more days to F1.
I just hope it can pass ASAP without any incident, hopefully to the disappointment of the tickets holder.

Damm.. i am starting to take notice of Formula 1 drivers, which i know "1.8 million" about..
When will my mind finish the 61 laps?

No kidding.. spend a million bucks to watch a sports car race about 310 km @ about 300kph?

Wow... unbelievable!! 1 million bucks to watch F1 in air con comfort!! I MILLION BUCKS!!! 7 DIGITS FIGURES!!! 1,000,000 bucks!!!
Okie lah, got other perks to add in... like the yacht, the private jet holidays etc...
But then... 1 million bucks!!! If only that million bucks is mine...
And if i got a million bucks and i successfully bid for the "exclusive" thingy, well, i guess, i would be eating grass for the rest of the month till my next pay comes in...
Haiz~~~ a million.... perhaps, when i go sleep later, i can dream about having a million bucks...
At the very least, i would not call the million bucks "peanuts"... sob sob...

F1 engineer
Alright... I am all geared up!!
Formula 1 season is coming.. I am well prepared... I know how a F1 car works!! I am an expert in the motor and the steering!!
The F1 car that's been "engineered" by me...
Me at work, concentrating on dismantling the car... The poor driver is still in the seat...
The tyres of the car... I had modified the steering, so that it's much more maneuverable!!!
So, is there any F1 team that needs engineer to modified their cars?
Or... is there any F1 team that needs a pit stop crew?
Do consider me...

Activities last weekend (II)
Here's the continuation.
Sunday. F1 training. Went over to a road known to have lots narrow and lots sharp bends and turnings. It does not help when the park at the end has an event, and the normal 2 lane, 2 way road has to become 1 lane, 2 way road.
There's one time i have to drive through 2 cars, super narrowly, and i was able to do that only coz the ambulance mirror was higher than the car. Otherwise, the mirrors would have been gone.
Went back HQ in the afternoon...
To help out in the FA class.
And in the night, off we went to chinatown... For a duty.
Lantern light up festival.
With lots lanterns...
And balloons...
And fireworks... Yeah...
And a naughty fellow...
