Okie... I meantioned that i wanted to sleep... That's true, coz i am very tired...

But then hor, something caught my eye... Nope, i ain't blind yet. It's a piece of news...

World hails Obama's 'brilliant' victory
AFP - Wednesday, November 5
http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20081105/tap-us-vote-world-2a5be5e.html

Interesting article...

1) Kenya
A national holiday was declared in Kenya -- where Obama's father was born -- to welcome the first black US president.

(Why Singapore does not have such a National Holiday?? Those who are migrating to the US, encourage your kids to run for president. Who knows, we might have a holiday too!!)

2) France
French President in a letter to the newly elected President :
"Your brilliant victory rewards a tireless commitment to serve the American people. It also crowns an exceptional campaign whose inspiration and exaltation have proved to the entire world the vitality of American democracy. By choosing you, the American people have chosen change, openness and optimism"

Cheem... Did you understand that??

3) Britian
British Prime Minister :
" energising politics ... his progressive values and his vision for the future"

Har???

4) China
China President in a written message :
"In a new historical era, I look forward to... taking our bilateral relationship of constructive cooperation to a new level"

Does it include tainted milk??

5) Japan
Japanese Prime Minister pledged to work with the new US leader to strengthen relations.

6) Mexico
Mexican President congratulated Obama on his "triumph" and invited him to visit the United States' southern neighbour.

Wow... Invitations started coming in on that day itself... Can i invite the US President over to my house for a cup of Ice milo??

7) Australia
Australian Prime Minister said Obama's victory was a landmark for equality.
"Twenty-five years ago Martin Luther King had a dream of an America where men and women would be judged not on the colour of their skin but on the content of their character,Today what America has done is turn that dream into a reality."

Wah... How i wish that would happen in Singapore, especially at Senrangoon Gardens area...

8) Iraq
Baghdad was looking for a "successful partnership" with Obama.

Lai leh, lelong lelong... RPGs, IEDs cheep cheep... Buy 2 get one fee!!!

9) Israeli
Israeli-US relations have "a bright future," Israeli foreign ministry spokesman

10) Palestinian
"President congratulates US president-elect Barack Obama in his name and in the name of the Palestinian people and hopes he will speed up efforts to achieve peace, particularly since a resolution of the Palestinian problem and the Israeli-Arab conflict is key to world peace,"

Wah... have not gone into office and already got work to do... Haiz~~

11) Singapore

Go read yourself.

Reading all these stuffs led me to wonder and ponder over one thing...

What would happen if John McCain had won?? How would the world's response be??

Okie... I really need to go to sleep liao, and perhaps start dreaming of what would be the response if i could become a president also...

US Presidential Election Results

So Barack Obama won...

As the US 44th President head of a supernation, most powderful office in the world, Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces...

Well, so, what's next? When's the change?

Yawn...

I think i better go off to bed now...

Arguements

I witness an arguement the moment i stepped into the build of my workplace this morning...

It's between an employee who always go out to site to collect samples for testing, and his manager, who ask him to go to a certain location to collect samples.

The employee started telling him that the area cannot park any vehicle, as it's a major road, and the traffic is quite heavy, and there's a construction works carrying out there. It's hazardous, and the risk of a RTA is quite high. He cited an example of the time when they were there recently, when they nearly got involved in a RTA.

The manager does not buy that and insist that they follow his instructions to do their job.

All these continued till the volume gets tuned up, short of screaming.

I being there, the innocent party look on.

So, who is right?? The manager or the employee??

The manager wants things to be done, wants the results to be out, so that he can account to his boss.

The employee being the one on the ground, can see the dangers involved, and as well as his crew's safety...

So, who's right??

The Final Showdown!!

It's a fight for the world's most powerful office...

VS

But the world's most powerful office, with the most powerful power does not necessary mean it's the highest paying job...

So, who will win??

And the next election, what's going happen?? Who will be the new contenter?? George Bush's son?

HS and YX wedding

HS and YX wedding...

Morning... I am one of the "brothers" of the groom, and it's my first time being a brother... Quite exciting...

Cute figurines, ain't it??

But why the female figurine is sticking her tougue out?? hmmm??

Me with the groom... With a big big big ang pow with the words "sincerity" on it... We would use it for our "gate crashing" later...

The Bridal Car...

And it's daybreak, when we are about to go off... Off to the bride's house...

Self drive by the groom...

Opening of car door...

And the gate crashing... First time i was kissed on the cheek by the groom, with lipstick... The rest were okie... and after successfully gaining entry into the house, this is what happens...

Leaving the bride's house...

No photos for the rest, until the banquet lunch... at Rasa Sentosa Resort...

Our table...

Me and the 2 MCs

ANd i went back and knock out almost immediately...

3 interesting things happened...

1) I realised i can know read ppl's mind, especially when they wanna ask me the most dreadful question, "when's your turn". I stopped a couple of friends before they ask me that.

How i know?? The expression on the face says it all...

2) There's another wedding at the same location at night, and when i was leaving the place, the MCs for the later wedding arrived, and realised that the guy was from red cross, and we both recognise each other... We worked together before...

Small world...

3) After i knocked out after reaching home, i had continuous dreams of the scenes from the whole day... The rush to go from place to place.. The MC and music rehersals... The packing up of the stuffs to ensure that nothing gets left behind... the queries of which logistic box goes to which vehicle...

ALl the way till ZX woke me up by calling me...

I think i was more stressed than the groom... Hahaha

And after i woke up by ZX's call, my dad pass me a letter...

Another wedding invitation...

d(>_<)p !!! ........

Fresh Halloween ideass to scare ppl

Thanks to APPY, who reminded me that Halloween is around the corner...

And there will be scores of halloween parties held all over Singapore... Fancy going to one but you don't know what to dress up as?? Having a terrible headache over it??

Fret not... Here's the S.O's ideas...

Lots ppl would want to put fake wounds and blood...

Some would also use fake hands...

Oh come on... that's so old school... As what the goverment says, THINK OUT OF THE BOX!!!

What about mask??

Do you think that's scary?? People can die from laughter one, you know??

What about this??

Hey, just who is going for the halloween party?? you or the doll??

Some ppl would like to use special effects of the lights...

But seriously, when you see this, will you get a fright or will you yawn??

Other ppl would like to use some special digital visual effects...

I showed the picture to all my friends... they simply laugh instead of screaming in fright...

So, that's out...

And what's new?? What's so new that no one had ever done before??

What's so scary that everyone once see it, will scream and faint with fright??

Here's my recommandation. Do it at your own risk!!!

Opps... did i gave you a fright??

Pardon me if i do...

Long weekend over

Once again, the long weekend passes me by...

So fast that i thought i did not have any weekend at all... the weekend came and gone faster than you could say "At last".

Indeed... Many activities to keep me rotting on the bed at home, which i would prefer...

And the activities started on the Friday night. A BBQ at East Coast Park...

And things got pretty hot too...

So much so that things got burnt...

Has anyone tasted the taste of "chao tar" corn and potota??

Well, i did not taste it... But i had certainly taste the taste of this otah...

White colour one...

Weird...

And out BBQ skills got so out of hand that, we managed to cook the satay with a burnt stick as well...

Perhaps the manufacturing can shorten the sticks... save the enviroment, you know??

Friday night passed by quickly...

Comes sat. Went for a BCLS class... after which, dinner with GL, and back home and it's TV night.

Sunday. Slept the whole morning till afternoon. Woke up in the afternoon, but lay turning and tossing around in bed... too lazy to get up, till my stomach complained of being empty.

"nua" all the till night time, when AB called me... and ZX called also...

Ended up going to JB with them, and once we went in, looking at the outgoing cars at the JB Customs, we got a shock. So, we spend our time inside JB, eating, drinking, chatting will way past midnight for the jam to clear before heading back to Singapore...

Ended up not sleeping the whole night, in case i cannot wake up later for a duty.

Met with GL for breakfast at Mac, and head down to HQ for a duty at Kusu island.

Quite fun there.

The members...

The bridge of the vessel...

GL with the captain...

Me with the captain...

Surrounded by huge ships that had laid anchor...

At the bow of the vessel...

Trying to copy the scene from the titanic.. but too bad, there's no lady there... so, it's a solo scene...

GL on the port side...

Kusu island as it appears on the radar screen...

Going round the island for orientation and recee mission...

Tortoise pond, where i took photos of the tortoise...

Overall, it was quite fun, and VERY warm...

And in the afternoon, went off Kusu island, back to mainland, ride in ES's minibus, go all the way to sentosa, another offshore island.

FOr a event recee...

Shall not reveal too much of that event in here... give you all a surprise...

And after the event recee, went back to Marina South Pier...

And ended the day with another BBQ at East Coast park...

This is funny... I started the weekend with a BBQ at East Coast Park, and ended the weekend with another BBQ at East Coast Park also...

I think i am going to get cancer...
